At Southcott Lower School we aim to support parents in their busy lives. We provide before and after school care clubs, and maintain strong links with local playgroups.

Early Birds Club Early Birds is a club run and managed by Southcott Lower School giving parents an opportunity to bring their children to school earlier than the usual 8.45am start. The club operates from 7.50am each morning and each session is charged at £1.50 whatever time your child arrives. The club is for any child who attends Southcott in the mornings, whether they are part or full-time and operates during term time.

After School Care Club Our after school care club runs each school day during term time between 3.30pm and 6pm. It is run by Bluebell Childcare Ltd and can be used on either a regular or ad-hoc basis, but children need to be officially registered to gain access. Snacks and packed teas available. Playgroups Southcott works closely with the local playgroups and welcomes visits from our youngest members of the community. Most of the local children attend either Bluebell Playgroup, which is based at Southcott Lower School but is independently run, or Southcott Playgroup which is based at the Community Centre in Bideford Green.
