Our trip into town

Year 4 went on a fantastic history and geography walk of Leighton Buzzard. Prior to our visit we learnt about the history of canals and our town. During the walk we looked at specific historical buildings in our high street. On our return journey, we walked along the river and canal. We had a brief stop for a game of Pooh sticks and then studied the workings of a lock. We had lunch in Parsons Close park which then became the focus of our work the following week at school. We conducted surveys and redesigned park to meet the needs of all members of the community.
