Southcott Lower School - Curriculum Statement
Governing Bodies are required to produce a Curriculum Statement annually. This replaces the requirement under the School Framework and Standards Act 1998 for a curriculum plan. This statement sets out the principles underpinning the curriculum at Southcott Lower School and reflects the school’s commitment to developing all aspects of pupils’ lives.
At Southcott Lower School our vision is for all children to become confident, secure, caring individuals who achieve personal success and a lifelong love of learning. Our curriculum aims to do this through a practical, skills based and thematic approach to learning. Our curriculum meets the requirements of the 2014 primary curriculum and is taught with the consideration of all our learners to equip our children to become independent and responsible citizens.
