Spring Concert 2019
We were delighted to welcome parents and carers to our annual spring concert in April 2019. We offer a range of instrumental instruction via peripatetic teachers at Southcott. Some of our children also learn to play instruments out of school and we celebrate all musical involvement as a valuable enrichment to every child's learning. The children all performed beautifully on the stage and amazed the audience with their confidence and musical prowess. Everyone was bursting with pride! Thank you to our wonderful peripatetic teachers who were there to support the children. A huge thank you also goes to our subject leader for music, Mrs Phillips, who worked so hard to organise such a joyous evening for all.
Enrichment Week 2018
During the last week of the Spring term, we held our annual enrichment week. This year we focused on the performing arts. Each year group chose a famous musical and the children took part in many creative and lively activities linked to: The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Cats. We all got very busy moving, acting, reciting poetry, making chocolate bars and even dragon dancing, while music echoed around the corridors every day. We invited Emma Whittemore, of the local dance and drama organisation, 'Little Luvvies', to lead a short workshop with every year group. We hope that you enjoy the final outcomes below!
