Hello everyone! We are Barn Owls and Spotted Owls and we are the two Year 1 classes. We look forward to sharing with you some of the exciting things we will be doing this year.

Growth Mindset

Online learning resources:

  • BBC Bitesize Children can access a range of videos, games and activities to support and extend learning at home.
  • Espresso Espresso offers access to a wealth of resources aligned to the curriculum, that can be used every day. The service includes videos, worksheets, games and quizzes all easily searchable by subject or objective. Login details are sent out by the school. Please ask if you are unsure.
  • Phonics Play Phonics Play games are useful to support phonics learning.
  • Topmarks This site has lots of learning games.
  • Oak National Academy The sector-led Oak National Academy has launched its online classroom and resource hub. The Academy offers 180 video lessons each week for schools to use, across a broad range of subjects. The lessons cover children in Reception through to Year 10 and are free to use by both teachers and young people.
