The Southcott Curriculum

The Southcott curriculum represents the totality of the experience of the child within our school of which the national curriculum forms one part. It is a sequence of coherently planned experiences designed to improve children’s knowledge and skills. It is the entitlement of every child at Southcott.

At Southcott every national curriculum subject is valued and taught consistently at all age groups. In EYFS we are guided by the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. This gives children the broad range of knowledge and skills that provide the right foundation for good future progress through school and life. We provide a diverse range of extra-curricular activities. Personal development is at the heart of all we do with the aim of helping children to become kind, happy and healthy people who show resilience in the face of challenge and contribute positively to an ever-changing society.
